Start-up company of the Year

VI Scientific did it again. It was voted start-up company of the year 2010 by Cyprus Entrepreneurship competition. VI Scientific was founded by two alumni of the 2007 Cyprus Entrepreneurship competition, Stavros Papastavrou and Georgios Stylianou. VI Scientific managed in close collaboration with the Diogenes Incubator to develop great products for Nokia and iPhone platforms to suit the need of the blind and the visually impaired, create the pan-European reselling network and multiply their impact in such scale that among others BBC, UK included the company in a special report. VI Scientific develops color and currency recognizers, light source detectors and light level sensors that runs exclusively on the mobile phone without the need of internet connection or other peripherals.
